It was in London that I heard about Chet, a Vietnam veteran who had been living and working with cultural communities in Central America since 1970. He invited me to Belize to meet local friends who have been trying with him to develop ecotourism in the southern district of Toledo. This film is a tribute to their 20 years of tireless efforts in The Forgotten District.

I feel this documentary provides an excellent boost to the concept of ecotourism both locally and internationally and would like it to be promoted and broadcast as extensively as possible. We have a signed agreement with the Toledo authorities that if the film is profitable, I will set up a video centre for young people in southern Belize.
